Although Franklin D. Roosevelt coined this phrase in 1933, I’m feeling it today! I’m a florist, ๐ท๐ธ๐ผ๐ธ๐ป and I just moved from Florida to Asheville, NC.
Let me break it down-
did I just move my flower business to another state? checkโ
do I know anyone here that knows anything about sustainable florists? nope
do I have NC venues, planners, photographers, friends, or brides that know me or my work? nope
Am I terrified – HELL NO!๐ช
Okay, okay I’m a little bit terrified. But maybe it’s the mountain air, the bears ๐ป๐ป๐ป( I’m not kidding), and the dozen-ish organic flower farms that are within driving distance that keep me pumped. They make me a believer in myself, flowers and making things work . I also get a whole lot of coaching from hubby ๐๐and my BFF๐๐, bestie flower friend).๐๐
My brother (from CA) was here last week. He dubbed me a born-again Southerner (I’m not usually a “born-again” anything,) but I am feeling it.๐ HERE in Asheville, NC, I feel passionate, creative about all things flowers..(sidebar…did I say folks round here are sooooo very nice!!!)
Asheville, NC breeds excitement, enthusiasm, and delight (in other words- I’m all in, Asheville NC)
