ABOUT

Our Story

We are sustainable florists in Asheville, NC. We use fresh flowers from local flower farms.

We specialize in designing weddings, parties, unique events, bridal showers, bar, or bat mitzvas, dinner parties and anywhere you want flowers.

Meet Robin

I am a Certified Florist, a graduate of Floral Design Institute (FDI) in Portland, Oregon, a Master Gardener, and passionate lover of Mother Earth.

Flower workshops delight me, and I attend regularly to keep my skills current! We can collaborate to create a design that you adore! I am enthusiastic (not a better word, for how I feel about flowers) about making your wedding/event about you while honoring seasonal blooms.

“Anything you dream we can create together.. Ongoing education keep us up to date and on trend for your special day.” -Robin

"Why Not Wildflowers provided florals for our wedding and we loved the results! Our vision was to keep the bouquets, boutennieres, and other ceremony florals relatively traditional, but to have potted plants (native where possible) instead of cut flowers for our table centerpieces for sustainability reasons. This was a relatively uncommon request, but Robin was happy to work with us and to execute and build out the vision. The potted plants and the more traditional side of our florals both were beautiful. She showed tenacity and put in a lot of legwork selecting florals that met our criteria for not only sourcing of plants, but also our desired color scheme and the aesthetic we were going for with the ceremony and reception. It helped that she visited our venue in advance to scout what options would fit the setting best. Her prepwork in the days and weeks leading up to the event, arranging the flowers and plants perfectly and making sure they looked vibrant and healthy, was evident, as was her strong attention to detail. She also was always accessible when we wanted to bounce around ideals and details or discuss questions by phone or text–she even gave us a nice pep talk when we were getting close to the day! We got feedback from numerous guests afterwards that people loved the flowers and plants, and we did too!"
